The VidCon 2019 Meet & Greet Lottery is opening in less than one week! It will be open May 23- June 6 and you can get your results on June 13.
What is it?
The Meet & Greet lottery gives all attendees a chance to meet their favorite creators. The lottery is only open to Community and Industry badge holders. Those with a Creators or Single Day badge may NOT enter the lottery.
How do I enter?
When the lottery opens you will receive an email from VidCon with a link to the lottery. There you'll put it your email address (whichever one you used when buying the ticket) and your ticket number.
Then you will be able to choose your top 15 favorite Featured Creators. Order does matter! If you really really really want to see someone, make sure to put them as #1 on your list! You must put 15 creators on your list or else your choices will not be saved and entered.
Not all Featured Creators will be in the lottery, so I suggest going thru the Featured Creators list on the VidCon website and writing which creators you might be interested in seeing, so that when the lottery comes out you can just choose creators straight from your list.
Once you save your lottery choices, you can modify them at any time before the deadline (June 6). On June 16 you will receive an email telling you that the lottery results are now available. You will then be able to log into the website and see your results!
Photography
VidCon has their own professional photography service. After your meet and greet you will receive a card with a unique code and website on it.
Once you go to that website and enter the code you be able to download, save, and share the images that have been taken. The images are usually available shortly after your session. When you receive your lottery results you will know which sessions use photographers and which ones do not. When there is not a professional photography service available at a meet and greet session, you will be able to use your phone to take photos.
Buddy System
The meet and greet lottery has something called "Buddy System". You can pair your meet and greets with a friend so that you both get the same meet and greets. If you want to use this system with a friend, then you should make sure you both agree on your creator choices. Unfortunately the Buddy System only works with two tickets, so if you are going with a larger group you cannot use this system. You do not need to use the Buddy System is you want your Chaperone to come with you to meet and greets.
Chaperone Policy
The Chaperone policy allows your 18 or older chaperone (with a Community Ticket) to go with you to your meet and greets in the hall. The Chaperone Ticket does not allow you to participate in the lottery.
Unfortunately you cannot change or trade your final Meet and Greets.
I didn't get the creators I wanted! What do I do!?
Sometimes the Featured Creator will hold unofficial meet and greets at VidCon separate from the lottery, so if you do not get a creator in the lottery, don't lose hope! I recommend following them on all of their social medias and turning on your notifications so that you are immediately alerted of any announcements from them!
